Bents Camping Barn was formerly a shepherd's cottage in the 1600's.

Local activies including:
Good walking in the Howgill Fells, Wild Boar Fell, Crosby Garret Common, Smardale Gill Nature Reserve, and Sunbiggin Tarn. Fishing at farm in village.

Excellent Mountain Biking Country. Settle to Carlisle Railway - 5 miles away at Kirkby Stephen. Buses to and from Kirkby Stephen - 6 mile. 1 mile from Barn.

We are accessible from the Coast to Coast Walk. Dales and lakes are nearby for day trips.

Bents Camping Barn can sleep 12 - 14 guests.

Full Barn - £119

Groups are most welcome.
You will need normal camping kit including a sleeping bag, warm clothes and walking boots. Open all year, all day. Dogs not allowed and fires not allowed.

Barn Facilities

The Barn has recently been refurbished, Electric lighting and power points throughout (£1 coin meter) and there are 2 sleeping rooms on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with cooking area a dining area with tables and benches and a w.c with washbasins.

Kitchen includes: Crockery, Cutlery, Toaster, Microwave, 3 Electric cooking rings, 2 electric kettles. Overflow Camping Available with Sole Occupancy bookings - Contact Barn direct for details.
